Victoria Leon
Jazz Vocalist
Victoria Leon is a Jazz Vocalist based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. A native California, Victoria was Introduced to Jazz by her father. Early mornings, she would wake up to the sounds of Wes Montgomery, Sergio Mendes and Ella Fitzgerald. Throughout high school and college, Victoria studied classical guitar and piano. She performed in a competitive jazz choir, plays, church choirs, college jazz ensembles and gospel choirs.
She earned a Certificate in Professional Vocal Performance from Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California. She is trained in classical, jazz and popular music, but her first love is jazz. Victoria has recorded two singles with Jeff Colella on piano, Chris Colangelo on bass, Kendall Kay on drums and John Chiodini on guitar. Featuring these songs titles: “720 in the Books, ”Little White Lies and “Is you Is or Is you, Ain’t my Baby.” In 2013, Victoria was nominated for Ventura County Music Awards and in January 2014, she participated in the Carpinteria Talent Showcase at the Plaza Theater.
Victoria has worked with by some of the most prestigious musicians in the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara areas: Karen Hammack, Lindsey Hundley, Paul Weitz, Dan Zimmerman, Jeff Elliott. Paul Cierly, Ron Suffredini, Woody De Marco, Mark Massey, Kevin Kearney, Eddie Olivieri, Bill Marcus, Stu Goodis, Ron Anthony, David Eastlee and Quinn Johnson.
